Boarding

SINCE ITS EARLIEST DAYS, SANTA MARIA COLLEGE HAS PROVIDED A SAFE AND NURTURING ENVIRONMENT FOR GIRLS FROM REMOTE AND RURAL REGIONS IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

PASTORAL CARE

Santa Maria College opened its doors 82 years ago with the primary goal of providing an education for rural students. 60 boarders and 13 day students attended the College in its first year. We are grateful to the Sisters of Mercy for their vision and for the 148 students who are part of our very special Boarding Community.

The Head of Boarding and dedicated House Mothers care for and support girls living on campus, providing emotional warmth and guidance to those in their care.

We understand that living away from home can be challenging. Our boarding environment is designed to provide comfort and support along with opportunities for social engagement and entertainment.

BOARDING FACILITIES

We have four boarding houses which provide a comfortable living, study and recreational environment for around 150 boarding students.

The Santa Maria College campus provides facilities for study, for recreation, for fun and for peace and reflection. We aim to make boarding at Santa Maria College a rich and fulfilling experience defined by close relationships and positive memories.

I’M GLAD WE HAD THE TIMES TOGETHER JUST TO LAUGH AND SING A SONG, SEEMS LIKE WE JUST GOT STARTED AND THEN BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, THE TIMES WE HAD TOGETHER WERE GONE.
