Celebrating the Journey: Year 12 Mother-Daughter Breakfast
- September 22, 2020

The traditional Year 12 Mother-Daughter Breakfast was a lovely way to finish the term for the Year 12 cohort.
It was a relaxed and happy breakfast with high spirits, held at the State Reception Centre in King’s Park on Sunday.
Mothers were delighted to receive a gift of a favourite framed photo of them with their daughters accompanied by a heartfelt letter of gratitude.

Our guest speaker was past student and former Head Girl Shannon Ziegelaar (2008), who shared her memories of life at Santa Maria. She gave the girls some wise advice about how to navigate the world of work successfully by sharing stories of the challenges she faced after leaving school. It was an uplifting and affirming speech.

Guests were entertained with a song from students Sofia Scafetta and Kate Kinsella with Amy Griffin on guitar. Head Girl, Jasmine Chow, gave a touching tribute to the mothers.

Thank you to our Parent Network Representatives, Tracey Lim and Jackie Kang, who have been the dedicated Parent Representatives since Year 7. We thank you for your enthusiasm and dedication to the role and appreciate you traveling with us on the journey from Year 7 to Year 12.
