2026 Interhouse Swimming Carnival – Years 7 – 12
The 2026 Interhouse Swimming Carnival was a wonderful celebration of house spirit, with students cheering each other on throughout the day. Across a full program of races including breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly, backstroke, relays and team events, the houses showed encouragement, determination and plenty of enthusiasm.
For our Year 7 students, it was their first time experiencing the scale and excitement of the Perth High Performance Centre (HPC) Stadium. For our Year 12 cohort, it marked their final swimming carnival, a milestone event celebrated in true Santa Maria style. Dressed in creative costumes and leading their Houses with passion, they were cheering the loudest.
A Huge Thank You
A sincere thank you to our House Coordinators, whose dedication ensured every student had the chance to be involved. Their support reflects outstanding leadership and inclusivity. We are also grateful to the Physical Education Department and our swim coaches for their efforts in making sure the carnival was well organised, enjoyable and fun for all.
Swimming Achievements
A standout moment once again was the Year 12 Frayne Medley team, who continued their extraordinary legacy by breaking the record for the fourth time. They are now the record holders for the Medley Relay in Years 7, 8, 11 and 12.
