Boarders Enjoy A Treetop Adventure

Years 7 and 8 boarders enjoyed a recreational activity this weekend at Treetop Adventure Park in Yanchep. Starting early at 8.30 am, they grumbled their way out of bed and onto the buses, but after a 55-minute drive, they became full of energy and nerves.

Given hard hats and gloves and fitted into a harness, the boarders were put to the test with five courses ranging from easy to hard. After a little helping hand getting started, the girls were off and racing through the trees. You could hear the loud chatter echoing down from above. “I have the biggest wedgie ever right now,” and “Leanne, please don’t tell my mum if I swear!”.

I was really happy to see the year groups mix exceptionally well, with everyone giving it a try. Boarders from both years were really supportive and encouraging to others, tackling their fears.

On the bus ride back to school, the excited voices wouldn’t stop as everyone shared their experiences. There was the occasional request, “Can we please stop at Maccas Leanne?” So yes, we did stop, and everyone was happy.
