PREVIOUS RECREATION ACTIVITIES

YEAR 10 CITY REC
The Year 10s had their City Induction Rec. The Year 10 boarders were accompanied into the city by Aimee Deane and Vanessa Carmody. Aimee and Vanessa guided the girls in how to use public transport, including using the Transperth Journey Planner and adding money to their card at a train station.

The girls were exceptional in every way possible. They were patient, courteous to adults ensuring that they stood up when an adult was standing to give them their seat. They really were an absolute pleasure to be with.

Aimee and Vanessa would like to congratulate and thank the Year 10 boarders for their outstanding rec. We wish you enjoyment and newfound independence with your new city leave privileges.

YEAR 9 AND 10 ROLLERSKATING

Years 9 and 10 boarders were offered the opportunity to attend Rolloways in O’Connor recently. A rollerskating rec activity never disappoints, and this was no exception. There was one very capable skater in the group and the rest were still very much in the ‘learning’ phase aka the fall over a lot phase!

The girls said that they worked so hard out on the rink that a Macca’s stop off on the way home was required! Lucky Cathy Smith was so kind and allowed their request. Thank you Cathy for your supervision.

YEARS 7 AND 8 COCKBURN ARC

Year 7 and 8 boarders went to Cockburn Arc on Sunday afternoon. Cockburn Arc is an all in one swimming, water inflatable and waterslide venue.

The girls had approximately three hours of fun in the water. Many funny stories have been told including being stuck in the big slide and squealing so loud that eardrums could burst.

A fabulous outing for a fabulous group of boarders. Well done girls. Thank you to Frances Preston and Karess Dias for supervising the girls.
