Building a Better World Together – Caritas Day 2025

Caritas Day at the College was buzzing with excitement, tasty treats, and a whole lot of heart, all in the name of giving back.
This was a chance to have fun while making a real impact. Every dollar raised goes towards Caritas Australia, helping vulnerable communities around the world overcome poverty, inequality, and injustice. So, whether students were there for the games, the food, or just to soak up the good vibes, they knew they were part of something much bigger.
Once again this year, there was a great lineup of stalls and activities at recess and lunch with something for everyone:
- Card Games
- Lolly Bags & Sour Straps
- Pop Stick Lotto
- Easter Raffle & Easter Egg Toss
- Cupcake & Bake Sale
- Pizza at Lunch
- Ethical Chocolate

Why Caritas Day Matters
We talk a lot about compassion, service, and making a difference and Caritas Day is one of the ways we put those values into action.
Caritas Day isn’t just about raising money, it’s also about awareness. Students learn that even small actions (like buying a cupcake or tossing an egg) can add up to big change. The funds we raised will help Caritas Australia support communities doing it tough, whether that’s providing food, education, or essential resources to families in need.
The Power of Giving
Service Captain Carrisa put it perfectly when she said: “Giving to others and serving the community has the power to make real, positive changes not only in our local community but across the world. When we all work together to give and serve others, like coming together for Caritas Day, our collective efforts can have a meaningful impact on the lives of others globally. Everyone’s contribution is a step towards a more just, compassionate, and united world.”
So, whether you bought a ticket, sold a treat, or just showed up and spread the good vibes, your kindness mattered.
What We Hope You Take Away
We hope Caritas Day left our students with a new perspective, showing them that the smallest actions can create a ripple effect of change. It was an opportunity to experience the joy of giving and feel the power of being part of something bigger than themselves. And, of course, we hope they made amazing memories because who knew giving back could be so much fun?
