Calling All Creatives – Share Your Story in Catherine 2025

While we had initially planned this issue as a tribute to the Sisters of Mercy, we have decided to postpone that special feature until 2026, when we will proudly celebrate 180 years of the Sisters of Mercy in Perth, Western Australia. This milestone will offer the perfect opportunity to honour their profound and enduring impact.

This year’s edition will instead spotlight the incredible creative talent among our alumni, exploring how artistic pursuits and professional achievements are influencing culture, building community, and inspiring others. From the performing and visual arts to design, writing, architecture, production and creative therapies, we want to celebrate the many ways our alumni bring creativity to life.

This edition also coincides with the opening of our new Cultural Centre, a home for future artists, performers and creators at Santa Maria College. Your stories will help us honour the past, celebrate the present, and ignite the future.

How to Get Involved

We are inviting both expressions of interest and nominations for alumni who would like to contribute to this special issue. You can choose to submit your own article, participate in an interview, or simply share a reflection on what creativity means to you.

We are calling for submissions from alumni working in:

  • Music, Theatre and Performance
  • Architecture, Construction and Design
  • Fashion, Graphic Design and Digital Media
  • Writing, Journalism and Communications

Whether you are centre stage or behind the scenes, working solo or leading teams, your creative voice matters, and we would love to feature you.
