Transition is all about change. Making the change from high school to university or the workplace is a crucial step that our Year 12 students are about to embark on. Figuring out how to make this transition smooth and successful was one of the aims of Life Beyond Santa.
The Year 10 Outdoor Education (OED) students returned from their Year 10 OED Expedition last Thursday. It was another successful and rewarding adventure for the girls. The students abseiled and rock climbed at the Wilyabrup Sea Cliffs, canoed along the Blackwood River, navigated and bushwalked to and from locations and set up camp at various campsites.

The annual Public Speaking Competition is always a hotly contended contest. Students from Years 5 – 12 competed over two nights. Students delivered prepared speeches, with the finalists delivering impromptu speeches at the end of the night.

Members of the co-curricular group Young Vinnies learnt more about the plight of homeless people last week, during their annual Homelessness Evening. Students from Years 10 – 12, participated in the evening, sharing a dinner consisting of soup the girls had made themselves and bread.
