Jennifer Jansen and Connie Quattrini in recognition of their years of service at Santa Maria College.

At Santa Maria College, we are fortunate to have incredible educators whose dedication to Catholic education has shaped the lives of countless students. This week, we proudly celebrate two remarkable teachers, Connie Quattrini and Jennifer Jansen, as they reach significant milestones in their careers.

Connie Quattrini – 40 Years

Connie Quattrini, Head of Languages, has been recognised for her outstanding 40 years of service to Catholic Education in Western Australia. Her passion for teaching languages has inspired generations of students to embrace diverse cultures and perspectives, enriching their educational experience and shaping their worldviews.

Connie commenced teaching in Catholic schools in 1983 at St Mary’s in Leederville, which later became Aranmore Catholic College before starting at Santa Maria College in 2007.

Throughout her career, Connie has not only been an exceptional teacher but also a mentor to her colleagues. Her influence extends beyond the classroom, where she has played a pivotal role in the wider languages network, helping to shape curriculum and inspire fellow educators.

Connie’s commitment to her students’ learning journeys is second to none, and her enthusiasm continues to foster a deep love for languages. On behalf of the entire Santa Maria College community, we thank Connie for her 40 years of unwavering dedication, passion, and care. Congratulations, Connie, on this incredible achievement!

Jennifer Jansen – 30 Years

We also celebrate Jennifer Jansen, a beloved English teacher, for her 30 years of service to Catholic Education. Jennifer’s love for literature and writing has left a lasting impression on her students, igniting their creativity and fostering a deep appreciation for the written word.

Before joining Santa Maria College in 2008, Jennifer taught at St Norbert College from 1991 to 2007, with a special year in 1998 spent as a volunteer teacher at Paul VI College in Samoa. Her international experience at this Mercy school further enriched her teaching, bringing new perspectives into the classroom. Since becoming a part of our community, Jennifer’s dedication has been instrumental in building students’ confidence and nurturing their passion for books and self-expression.

Jennifer’s compassion and support for her students are unparalleled, and we are immensely proud of all she has accomplished. Thank you, Jennifer, for your 30 years of dedication and inspiration. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
