Dear Lord
We pray for our Mothers and special guests and give thanks for all they do for us.
They care, teach and love
They help, correct and nurse
They forgive, cook and wash
They drive worry and watch over us.
We ask Mary the blessed mother to watch over all mothers and give them the wisdom and strength to do what mums do.
Grant that we, their daughters, may honour them always, with a spirit of profound respect.
We make our prayer through Christ our Lord
Amen.
Our Mother’s Day Mass was well attended by mums, grandmothers, aunts and even a couple of dads.
We were very fortunate to have Monsignor Keating celebrate Mass for us. His message about focusing on the important things in our lives like family resonated well with all who attended.
Our guests were then escorted by their daughters to the Community Room for morning tea. It was a great opportunity for mums to meet other mums and have a chat while enjoying the wonderful view of the river.
The following poem was read to the mums, on behalf of their daughters, during the morning tea.
We wish all Mums a very happy Mother’s Day.
God Bless.
