Celebrating the Commitment Behind the Results
Celebrating effort, commitment and academic excellence is an important part of life at Santa Maria College. We are proud to nurture a learning environment where students’ dedication is recognised and their achievements are genuinely celebrated.
This week, we celebrated the results from Semester 2, 2025, with the Achiever’s Club recognising 117 students from Years 8 to 12 for achieving outstanding results across all subjects in their final reports last year. This is a remarkable accomplishment that reflects both consistency and perseverance.
The Achiever’s Club aims to recognise the top 10 per cent of achievers in each year group each semester, based on the number of A grades achieved.
Held over two days, the Achiever’s Club lunches provided a meaningful opportunity to acknowledge academic success while reinforcing the values that underpin our College community. These celebrations highlight the importance of resilience, collaboration and striving for personal best, with students encouraged to support one another along the way.
In congratulating the students, Deputy Principal – Teaching & Learning, Jayne Kingwell, praised the girls for their commitment to learning and personal growth, acknowledging the effort behind their success and the positive learning culture they help to shape.
“Keep aiming high, keep pushing yourselves and, most importantly, keep learning,” she said.
Academic Captain Anahat also reflected on the significance of the occasion, reminding students that “It’s important to try your best and give it your best shot”, while keeping it all in perspective.
“It’s okay to get a few bad marks at times, as long as we remember to try our hardest,” she said.
