Cleaning Up Our Environment

The Attadale foreshore bushland received some care and attention from our Eco Sister members on Wednesday afternoon.

Eco Sisters met with Mick Nicholls from the Friends of Attadale Foreshore Group to assist with weeding maintenance in a section of restored bushland.

The students gained valuable knowledge about the importance of the vegetation under restoration and gathered experience distinguishing between native species and invasive species.

Despite the bushland being relatively close to Burke Drive and an urban area, the students quickly experienced the calm that comes from being surrounded by the native bush and the weeding evoked great fun and community spirit amongst the group.
