Congratulations Camryn!

Year 12 student, Camryn Tidy has been playing hockey since she was in pre-primary; that’s 13 years this year! This week, that experience paid off as she was selected for the U18 Women’s State Hockey Squad.

Camryn, who plays for the Wesley South Perth (WASP’s) Hockey Club, was introduced to the sport when her parents were looking for a winter sport for her to play. “All the kids in my year were playing hockey, so my parents decided to enrol me too”, she said.

When asked what she loves most about the sport, Camryn says, “I love getting to meet new people who love the sport as much as me, learning new skills and performing them successfully in a game”.

Being chosen for this squad means a lot to Camryn, who has worked towards this for a very long time. “It’s a good feeling when your work pays off”, she said.

Congratulations, Camryn!
