Cross Country COVID Style
- June 24, 2020

The IGSSA Cross Country event went ahead on Friday in a modified format. It was the first interschool sporting event to run since Term 1 and the girls were excited to be back competing!
In line with COVID-19 restrictions in place for large events, the IGSSA Cross Country was run throughout the whole day. However, each school ran at a designated timeslot and attended the venue for only 45 minutes.

After a short warm-up and briefing, our runners were off on the 3km course!
Our squad had only had the opportunity for a short block of training upon returning to school in Term 2. Despite this, the girls gave everything they had and there were some great results on the day.
As there was no head-to-head racing between schools, an overall champion was not awarded for this year. However, winning Year groups were awarded a pennant for the respective schools. Congratulations to our top two finishers for each Year group:
Year 7
Harriet Noske
Isayla Foster
Year 8
Billie Mincham
Kallysta Lim
Year 9
Sienna Timmermans
Claudia Rock
Year 10
Sophie Fowler
Bronnie Goss
Year 11/12
Cleo Kenny
Sophie Blechynden
A special mention to Billie Mincham who finished in the top 10 for her age group.
Thanks to all the girls who came along to cross country this year and represented the school so well!
