Curious Creatures and Wild Minds
What a week! The Library celebrated Book Week with the imaginative theme of ‘Curious Creatures and Wild Minds’. We started the week with a packed house, as students utilised their problem- solving skills and creativity in our digital Escape Room.
In the spirit of ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’, our visiting author, Tamara Moss, had our Years 5 and 6 students absolutely enthralled with the adventures of her book, Lintang. Inspired by Tamara’s stories, students made their very own mythical creatures, having lots of fun on the way!
Speaking of fun, students just loved participating in a book themed silent disco. With a book in hand, they danced around the school with their silent disco headsets on, proving that you really can read anywhere, anytime, even while dancing!
Our Year 5 and 6 students were so inspired by the ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’ theme, they created curious creature inspired masks that formed the Book Week display in the Library. Some students shared their own love of reading with their cuddly pet, entering our fun photo competition.
Its certainly been a busy and exciting week in the Library, celebrating our students’ love of reading!
