Earth Day
On Wednesday we had our first Earth Day at the College to promote sustainability and raise awareness about environmental issues.
The Mercy Walk was filled with stalls run by the Eco Sisters, who were educating students about solar panels, beeswax wraps, recycling, eco-friendly products, and worm farms.
There were activities students could participate in such as planting their own succulent, playing recycling games, and a raffle.
The Junior Sprouts also ran activities for the Years 5 & 6 students. They shared information on how to sort your rubbish, played Kahoot games on recycling, and made items for pets from recycled materials.
It was great to see so many students eager to learn about sustainability and to have the event run by the well-informed Eco Sisters and Junior Sprouts members.
