Eco Sisters Paper Recycling Initiative
In response to Climate Action petition signed by students and staff on Mercy Day, last term, the Eco Sisters were excited to rollout new paper recycling bins at the College this week.
The bins have been placed around the College grounds in key locations. The paper recycling bins are bright yellow and clearly labelled with paper only. The bins are located in the Plaza, the Sawle Literature & Research Centre, Goold Building, Music, Religion and the Super Lab.
Supporting this initiative represents a direct action to help reduce energy use, which ultimately reduces the effects of climate change. The paper will be collected regularly and processed by the recycling company, SITA.
Through the use of posters, surveys, a daily bulletin and their Instagram posts, the Eco Sisters will be providing regular updates to the College community, on ways to help reduce waste and reduce energy use.
