This week Principal, Ian Elder, was farewelled at the Senior and Middle Years Awards nights. Ian retires after 40 years in secondary education with his final eight years as Principal of Santa Maria College.

He has been an exceptional Principal who has led the school to be successful in so many ways. Ian was described by staff, parents and students as a wise, courageous, kind man who is a great listener and a change advocate who is inspiring and knowledgeable. He has earnt the respect of all members of the College community through his hard work, dedication and passion for education.

We wish him much joy and happiness as he begins a new chapter in his life and say good bye, good luck and God bless.
