DEPUTY HEAD BOARDER
Indiana Squiers
What do you hope to bring to boarding as Deputy Head Boarder?
I hope to bring a fun, supportive and encouraging attitude towards the Boarding community and by doing so I hope to see the community thrive and come together as one. I wish to bring a more coherent and inclusive environment for all Boarding students to enjoy and love.
Where are you from?
I am from Quairading, which is a small town directly east of Perth creating a trip of about two and a half hours. Quairading is an amazing little town known for its signature animal which is the bull, its farming community, and its old machinery and railway.
What do you love about boarding?
I love the environment we are provided with and the chance to live with some of your lifetime friends. Boarding fosters the attitudes of resilience, patience, compassion and hospitality. I love the variety of people I get to interact with on a daily basis and the life skills that Boarding provides me.
What is one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I have two siblings that are currently at the school in Years 7 and 9. Their names are Jorja and Zarah. They are my inspiration and always find new ways to challenge me and give me the skills to be patient and diplomatic.
How do you unwind?
I preferably like to sit down and watch a bit of TV or Netflix with a hot tea and Tim Tam. I also like having conversations with friends to unwind.
