From The Head of Boarding: Week 5, Term 1, 2021
- March 3, 2021

Head of Boarding
Our Boarding values are Trust, Respect, and Kindness. As a community we expect every member, boarders, staff, and parents to live these values.
We build a strong community by caring for one another, creating a safe and supportive environment for all.
Boarding Coordinators
Aimee & Chris are our Boarding coordinators on shift. They are with four Boarding supervisors and ensure the smooth running of Boarding during their shift, along with organising the recreation activities for our girls. If you would like to contact Aimee or Chris at any time please email them at [email protected]
Academic Care in Boarding
Colleen McManus has set up boarders study this year and it is running extremely well. If your daughter needs some extra support during study, they are to email Colleen to let her know and she will then endeavour to find support for the girls.
Colleen is in the Boarders Rec Centre every Wednesday night from 6.30 pm until 8.30 pm for all boarders. They can see Colleen at this time for English & Religious Education help, study tips, organisational help and to ask for further support in other subjects.
What is happening where you live?
I would love to visit you where you live. If there is a big event happening where you live let me know and I will do what I can to get there. I would also love to come your way one weekend and join you, and past and future members of our Boarding community for lunch or dinner at your local.
Wagin Woolarama
I will be at the Wagin Woolarama from Friday 5 to Saturday 6 March. If you are at the Woolarama pop past for a chat or meet me at the Wine Baa on Friday from 4.30 pm for a catch-up. See you in Wagin!
Boarding Week
Boarders have been asked to send me a photo of themselves at home. This photo should depict where they are from and where they live. These photos will be used for a presentation at the Boarders Week whole school assembly in May. Please encourage your daughters to take these photos and then send them to me. Thank you.Â
Recreation Activities Stories
Coogee Beach Markets – Year 12s
After a very busy day at the Interhouse Swimming Carnival and Splashtacular, some of the Year 12 boarders decided to have a slight break from the chaos of school, heading to the Coogee beach markets for dinner. Although the day was warm, the night along the beach became quite cold, good thing we were all rugged up! We enjoyed delicious food from food trucks and Boba tea. We all had an enjoyable night. Thank you to Clare Allen, Bertrand Boarding Supervisor for taking us on this activity.
