From The Head of Boarding: Week 7, Term 1, 2021
- March 17, 2021

Head of Boarding
Our Boarding Values are Trust, Respect and Kindness.
As a community we expect every member, boarders, staff and parents to live these values.
We build a strong community by caring for one another, creating a safe and supportive environment for all.
Our Community
We love having all visitors to Boarding such as parents, siblings, relatives and friends. All visitors are welcome to be with our boarders in our House family rooms and House courtyards. Unfortunately, during term we do not allow any visitors to the girls rooms. This is because the areas downstairs and upstairs are the living areas for 38 girls in the House who are free to be themselves in this space, wearing and doing their thing, in a secure and private area. Having visitors in this space can interrupt the use of this space and their place to be. We thank you for your understanding.
ANZAC Day Long Weekend
The ANZAC Day long weekend is the first weekend back after the April school holidays. We will have one House open, if the needs presents, over the ANZAC day (three day) weekend for those unable to go home or unable to stay with friends or family in or out of Perth.
What is Happening Where You Live?
I would love to come to visit you where you live. If there is a big event happening in your hometown, let me know and I will do what I can to get there.
I would also love to come your way one weekend and join you, past and future members of our Boarding community for a lunch or dinner at your local.
Wagin Woolarama
Vanessa Carmody and I loved being at Wagin Woolarama. It was so good to be able to catch up with present, past and prospective boarders, Boarding parents and grandparents of current and past boarders, siblings and friends of boarders. I cannot wait for my next visit to see our families which will be on Monday 17 May in Broome at the Mangrove Hotel.
Boarding Week
All boarders have been asked to send in a photo of themselves at home. This photo will depict where they are from and where they live. These photos will be used for a presentation during Boarding Week at a whole school assembly in May. Can you encourage your daughters to take these photos and then send them to me.
Thank you!
