YEAR 10 SOCIAL AND THE FUN WE HAD GETTING READY TOGETHER
Although we were all looking forward to the social, getting all pretty and dressed up was the most fun. The second we got back from school it was a race for the showers, everyone was helping each other do their hair and makeup and deciding on what jewellery would look best.
We all jumped into our dresses, cat-walked down the hallways, and took photos together in the recreation centre. Everyone looked amazing and it was such an incredible experience to get ready with all of our Boarding sisters. Ashlee Chafer, Year 10

MENTAL HEALTH STRATEGY
The College’s Mental Health Strategy also applies to the entire Santa Boarding Community. One new initiative in Boarding is wellbeing posters on toilet and bathroom doors which will be changed at regular intervals. Here are some examples of the posters giving positive messages to the boarders.Â

SIT IN DAYS & SLEEP OVERS
A new initiative in 2020 is the beginnings of a Transition to Boarding Program, which is based on developing connections before each girl begins in Boarding. All confirmed enrolments for 2021 were sent a transition pack in the mail. This included a College planner to start using now, an invite for a sit-in day at the College, an invite for a sleepover in boarding, and a transition journal. We have had a great response with many girls having had their sit-in day and sleepovers with more to come. The hospitality of our boarders, day girls, College & Boarding staff has been overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic. We look forward to getting to know our new 2021 boarders throughout the remainder of this year.

NEW KITCHEN UTENSILS AND COOKWARE
The Santa Boarding Community has been gifted with a huge amount of new kitchen utensils and cookware. The girls in Boarding love to cook and to bake. We have now provided the girls with plenty of cookware and utensils for them to cook up a storm!
