Welcome to another edition of the Santa Maria Old Girls Blog.
Â
We’ve officially reached (and passed) the halfway point of the year. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s questioning where the time has gone?!
Â
Last month, some Old Girls gathered at Como’s Cygnet Theatre to enjoy the sequel to Mamma Mia, the movie. It was a fabulous night, and those who purchased a ticket helped us to make a charitable contribution to St Vincent de Paul.
Â
For those that enjoy giving back to the community, we are still continuing with our homeless run, providing hot meals for those doing it tough. It doesn’t take much time, and those who have helped in the past have found it to be a really rewarding experience. Our next date is Tuesday 30 October. If you have a couple of hours to spare to help serve, or can assist by cooking a lasagne, please get in touch with our OGA Coordinator Jacqui Daniels.
Life Lessons with a Lunchbox is in full swing at the College. Many of our past students have generously given of their time to chat with current studies about a variety of topics. Â This is a great connection which we are eager to continue. Â We are always looking for old girls to speak to the students about personal journeys and/or professions. Just give Jacqui a call.
Â
We are also on the hunt for some new committee members. Don’t be scared! If you think that yourself (or someone you know) would be a good fit, shout out!
