This year is flying by… we’re at the end of another school term, and we’ve hit double digits on the countdown to Christmas!
Â
It’s been a busy couple of months for the OGA, with our school projects continuing. Those involved in the Mentoring Project got together for dinner a couple of weeks ago, to catch up and debrief. We’re looking forward to continuing the program in 2019, and will be reaching out for mentors later in the year. Life Lessons with a Lunchbox has also continued to be a great success. Thank you to the wonderful Old Girls who have volunteered their time to come back to the College, and share their life experience with the students through both of these projects.
Â
We have one last Homeless Run for 2018, on Tuesday, October 30. If you’re handy in the kitchen, we would love your help making some lasagne, to feed those doing it tough. It’s a fantastic way to give back. If you’re interested in helping out, please get in touch with our OGA Coordinator, Jacqui Daniels.
There are still a few more special events on the horizon before the year comes to an end. Our wonderful Golden Girls will return to the College for a luncheon on Thursday 8 November. It’s always such a special event, which I know a lot of people are looking forward to. We’re also excited to welcome back the Class of 1968 for their school reunion next month.
Until next time.
