From the President: August 2023

Old Girls' Association President Gemma Varone

Welcome to the August edition of the OGA Blog.

I am sure I’m not the only one who is on the countdown to Spring and some warmer weather! In saying that, I hope our farming families are getting the rain they need for their crops and livestock. I was in the Wheatbelt a couple of weeks ago, and it was so lovely to see sprawling green paddocks with the odd pop of yellow canola. What a beautiful place!

We had a wonderful time last week at the OGA Movie Night. It was a great opportunity for friends to catch up over a glass of wine pre-movie. The New Boy was a thought-provoking film that showcased some incredible Australian talent. Thank you to everyone who attended and for your generous contributions to Share the Dignity. August is the designated month for the charity to collect sanitary products, and I am so pleased we can make such a worthwhile contribution. If you would still like to make a donation, there are collection boxes in Woolworths stores Australia-wide.

Wishing you all a wonderful month ahead.
