From the President – November 2024

I would like to start by officially welcoming the Class of 2024 to the Old Girls’ Association. Finishing school is an incredible milestone. It marks the end of a special journey of learning and friendship, before an exciting new adventure begins. To those of you currently sitting exams, we wish you all the very best.
The end of the year is fast approaching. I know quite a few of you are looking forward to the Golden Girls Luncheon next week. It’s one of the highlights of the year at the College, with so many memories shared, as well as a few laughs.
This will be my final blog as OGA President. After seven wonderful years, I have made the decision to hand over the reigns. It has been an honour to lead the committee, and I will treasure the memories made.
There have been many highlights. Our wedding dress exhibition and alumni fashion parade were so much fun to be involved in. Introducing the Project of Mercy Grant has also been incredibly rewarding. We’ve also shared some tough times, navigating a pandemic.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our committee members, past and present, as well as our alumni coordinators, who have worked tirelessly to support our efforts. Thank you also to the College for their support and trust. Finally, thank you to our OGA community.
I look forward to seeing the OGA continue to grow and flourish.
