From the President – September 2025
Dear Alumni
I warmly welcome all readers to this month’s OGA blog. The past month has felt busy.
I highlight our forthcoming Spring Movie Night at the Windsor Cinema on Thursday 18 September. If you want to see the movie, Mr Burton, come and join us! Pre-movie drinks and socialising will kick off at 5.45 pm in the bar area, and we will have some great raffle prizes on offer, too. Further details have already been emailed to alumni. I would love to see you there.
Our Vice President, Bella Robertson, and SMC OGA Committee member Linda Humphreys attended the Pleaides at Penrhos College this month. They have shared several new ideas with us, to be considered for future alumni activities. We are also currently completing a review of our SMC Old Girls’ Association guidelines and terms of reference.
Committee members will be helping to assemble, and wrap rose bouquets prior to Mercy Day, which is on Friday 19 September, so that will be a very busy week.
Take care, and I hope to see many of you at the Spring Movie Night, despite the weather not yet feeling spring-like.
Warm Regards
Mary Heavens | President, Old Girls’ Association
