Girls Have Great Result in Water Polo Competition
During the unexpected turn of Spring weather last Friday, the Santa Maria Years 10/11 A and B water polo teams competed at the annual IGSSA Water Polo Senior Competition at HBF stadium. With very little training due to the weather conditions, we still managed to play our best and both teams managed to win the majority of their games. We all thoroughly enjoyed the day and performed to our best.
With the A team making it all the way to the grand final playing against Iona, but unfortunately not being able to take it home. The end results consisted of the B team coming third despite having no subs, and the A team coming second, an excellent effort from both teams.
We would like to thank both Brooke and Sarah for coaching the teams with great enthusiasm and encouragement, and Mrs Christie for organising us and supporting us throughout the day.
