Health Week 2022
Health Week 2022 has once again been a great success! Our students have enjoyed activities such as a Konga lunch time class, rock wall climbing for our Years 5 and 6 students.
There was also an array of amazing activities on offer at the health expo stalls. These stalls are run by the Year 10 students as part of their Health Education learning experience. Students present a topic of choice and share their message of health. Visiting students from other year groups learned a lot about topics such as:
- vaping
- healthy sleep practices
- nutrition
- fitness
- normalising periods
- body image
- healthy hydration practices
Our amazing Science Technicians also presented their topic of edible insects, which is always a hit with the students, getting to eat crickets, meal worms and ant tea!
Staff have been treated with free massage and skin checks. Giving them an opportunity to relax and check in on their health too!
We hope the students and staff have enjoyed Health Week! A big thank you to the Physical Education Department and Grounds & Maintenance team for all their hard work in preparing and running Health Week.
