Introducing Our OGA Committee – Alison Auld (Chaffer, 1996)
- September 21, 2021

When I left school I moved to Kalgoorlie and studied for a Bachelor of Science (Extractive Metallurgy). I worked in Kalgoorlie and then Greenbushes in the South West. After living in the South West for a couple of years I moved back to Perth where I now live with my husband and four children. I have a daughter in Year 9 at the College and three boys. Two attend Aquinas College and one is at Mel Maria Primary School.
I decided on a career change and went back to study to complete a Diploma in Education and now teach three-year-old kindy in South Perth.
I joined the OGA in 2017 after being recruited by a former classmate, Claire Hales. I really enjoy being part of the OGA to keep in touch with the school and connect with current and former Santa Maria College students. The OGA is a great way to keep the College network going.
The College and the OGA connection to service are very important to me and I have enjoyed coordinating the Feeding the Homeless program for the OGA. I believe in showing my children that everyone should take the time to ‘give back’ in some way.
