JIGGSA Swimmers Get Great Results
We’re incredibly proud of our Years 5 & 6 swimmers, who competed in the JIGSSA Swimming Carnival this week.
The girls displayed exceptional performances in the pool, setting numerous personal bests and working in harmony as a team. In the relays and medley races, they secured outstanding results, including:
- Year 5 Division B, 4 x 50m Freestyle – 2nd Place
- Year 5 Division A, 4 x 50m Freestyle – 3rd Place
- Year 6 Division B, 4 x 50m Freestyle – 2nd Place
- Year 6 Division A, 4 x 50m Freestyle – 3rd Place
- Year 5, 4 x 50m Medley – 1st Place
- Year 6, 4 x 50m Medley – 2nd Place, finishing just 0.21s behind the leader.
- Year 5 Division A, Backstroke – 1st Place
- Year 5 Division B, Backstroke – 1st Place
- Year 5 Division C, Backstroke – 1st Place
- Year 6 Division A, Backstroke – 1st Place
Overall, the Year 6s finished 2nd, while the Year 5s came in at 4th place in the final results. What an impressive feat!

As I look back on the past nine weeks, I am so grateful for who we are as a community and what we have achieved. Through the dedication of our staff and the enthusiasm of our students, we have established new connections, immersed ourselves in opportunities and worked through challenges.
