Lauren currently plays cricket for the Melville Cricket Club and has been playing cricket for four seasons. She grew up around cricket, her dad is Head Coach of the Melville Cricket Club.

When asked about her involvement with the sport she said, “I have represented WA four times in Under 12s and Under 15s and was captain of the Under 12s in my second year. I captained the Under 15 team last year. I am also in the WA Under 17 girls Indoor Cricket Team and will be travelling to Melbourne in July to compete at the National Indoor Championships.”

Lauren’s favourite cricketer is Meg Lanning, an Australian international player who currently captains the Australian women’s national team and the Victorian Spirit.

The WACA Winter Academy is a 14-week program commencing in June for seventeen of the best junior female cricketers in Western Australia, to further develop skills and fitness required to be selected in future Fury or Scorchers teams.

“This is a great opportunity for me as I will be coached by some of the best coaches at the WACA and I get to train alongside the current Fury & Scorchers players.” Said Lauren.
