Making Memories That Matter – Years 5 & 6 Father Daughter Camp

Some of the best lessons in life happen outside the classroom, soaring through the air on a flying fox, building a raft (even if it sinks!), or simply sharing a laugh over ice cream.
The 2025 Father-Daughter Camp at Woodman Point was all about these moments. With over 190 campers and 50 day-trippers, it was a weekend packed with adventure, fun, and plenty of memories.
Adventure & Teamwork
From the get-go, it was non-stop action! Dads and daughters took on challenges that tested their courage, teamwork, and sense of adventure.
- Archery – Some hit the bullseye, others… well, they had fun trying!
- Raft-building – A true test of teamwork; some floated like champions, and others provided a refreshing swim.
- High ropes & rock climbing – Stepping up, pushing limits, and cheering each other on.
- Flying fox – The ultimate leap of faith, rewarded with an epic ride!
“I enjoyed the activities and spending time with my dad. I really liked zip-lining and the rock-climbing.” Rose, Year 5
Relaxing & Connecting
Not every moment was high-energy. Some of the best memories came from simply slowing down and enjoying the little things.
- Shirt painting – Creative chaos at its finest, with one-of-a-kind keepsakes.
- Coogee waterfront rides – Scenic bike rides with pit stops for coffee (for dads) and ice cream (for daughters).
- Beach time and soccer games – kicking a ball around or soaking up the sun was pure relaxation.
“I loved the T-shirt painting with my dad and bike riding in the free time” Eloise, Year 5

A Night to Remember
As the sun set, the fun continued with a treasure hunt. Torches in hand, girls raced between locations, solving clues and earning their well-deserved Easter egg reward.
The night wrapped up with a screening of Moana 2 under the stars, because what’s a camp without a cosy movie night?
“My Highlight of the Father, Daughter camp was definitely playing soccer with the years five and sixes. I loved how it was a Dads vs. Daughters game. It was truly an unforgettable memory” Zara, Year 6
More Than Just a Camp
This camp was about strengthening bonds. It gave dads and daughters the chance to step away from the busyness of life and truly connect, sharing laughs, creating memories, and enjoying each other’s company.
“There were so many highlights, from everyone gathering for the group photo to Dan’s brilliantly organised treasure hunt.” Luke Charlesworth – Parent | Organising Committee
It was a reminder of what matters most: family, friendship, and the moments that stay with us long after the weekend ends. Experiences like this help shape our students into confident, compassionate young women, ready to take on the world.
