Paige Kirk and Amelia Ward are Year 9 boarders and in this week’s ‘My Town’ series they share information about their hometown of Wagin.
Wagin is south-east of Perth and it is a two and a half hours drive from Perth.

What industries are in your town?
The main industries of Wagin are wheat and sheep farming.
What makes your town special?
Wagin is a special place, a really great community. I have lived in Wagin my whole life and love it.
What do you love about your town?
I love how Wagin isn’t a huge country town but also not a small country town. I find Wagin the perfect place to live.
Any special events/activities in your town?
Yes! Wagin has the Woolarama.

Cafes, Hairdressers, Beauticians, Pub, Hardware store, IGA, Co-op, District High School and Elders.
What makes your town special?
Having Woolarama every year is really good. I love that I know most people in Wagin. And it is great to be able to play so much sport.
What do you love about your town?
Playing sport and the farms.
Any special events/activities in your town?
The Woolarama and the Christmas street carnival.Â
