New Beginnings

As a new school year begins, we can look forward with great excitement, wondering what God has in store for us this year. What new experiences will we go through? What new lessons will we learn? It’s all fresh and new, and that is exciting!

Having a fresh perspective helps me view each year as a new season, where I come to understand God gives me a new year, bringing new experiences that can help me grow more like Him. A fresh outlook of the coming year enables me to leave the past where it belongs. It does not mean that I forget the past but learn from it and move forward into the future with an open heart and mind to receive whatever God has planned for me.

Here are 8 ways you can view the new year

1. New Beginnings
Start the New Year with a fresh point of view to new experiences, memories, and blessings. Have an open mind and heart to wherever God may take you with complete assurance and confidence that He is with you.

2. New Possibilities
There’s no limit to what God can do in your life, and nothing is impossible with Him. God opens doors that no man can shut and closes doors that no man can open.

3. New Plans
Every year is a new season. Be prayerful of what God has planned for you, and be willing to follow His lead. Remember that His plans are always for good.

4. New Purpose
As you forge ahead, remember that God always has a reason for what He allows in your life. Trust Him completely.

5. New Provisions
The bible says to not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow has enough worries of its own. “Trust in your Heavenly Father who knows everything you need, who is your God and your Provider. He is faithful, and He will do it”. Matthew 6:31-33

6. New Growth
When you are willing to let go and let God work in you and through you, you grow into a better version of yourself.

7. New Wisdom
With new experiences and new lessons come new wisdom and insight. Always make it a priority to seek out wisdom as hidden treasure or fine gold.

8. Renewed Peace
As you go through new experiences and new adventures, whether good or bad, be brave and keep your eyes fixed on Christ. He will bring you peace.

Finally, give thanks to God for getting you through last year and look to this year with renewed hope, trusting in His promises.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11

May the God of peace and hope journey with you as you commence the new school year.

God Bless
