2018 Winter Appeal Launch
This week saw the launch of our annual Winter Appeal. With this year, being our 80th year, we are hoping for our biggest appeal yet!
We are very fortunate to have a College community that responds with such generosity and compassion, to assist those who are in need of winter comforts. The Winter Appeal has always been a successful campaign in the past and with the support of students, parents and staff, this year will be another success. The three agencies, St Patrick’s in Fremantle, St Vincent de Paul and the Shopfront, are very appreciative of the donations collected throughout the appeal.
Each Homeroom receives a red collection bag and a list of suggested items to donate. We hope that each girl can bring in an item or two from the list to contribute to the appeal or make a cash contribution of $10.00.
Students involved in co-curricular service groups organise Outreach Day, which is a fundraising day, which this year, will be held on 7 June. On this day, there will be a variety of food on sale and games to be played during recess and lunch. This event is not only a fun day for students and staff, but all money raised on the day goes towards the Winter Appeal.
Below is a list of items we require for each Year group.
Members of the College community can also get involved by donating larger items, such as blankets, sleeping bags or pots and pans. These can be left at Student Reception or dropped off at the Service Learning Office. Students can also help out further by sorting out and bagging donations before the Outreach Mass.
