Congratulations Dom

Congratulations to staff member, Dominique Wood who travelled to Orlando Florida in the holidays as Assistant Coach to the Australian Cheerleading team. The team were competing at the 2018 International Cheer Championships. Dom was invited to take on the role of Assistant Coach to the Australian Cheerleading Dance Team in preparation for the Championships.

Only one team from each country is able to compete. To be selected, teams from all over the country submit a video which is silently judged, and from these videos, the best team is chosen. The girls placed 12th from 20 teams.

Dom is a Religious Education teacher, Dance teacher and Santa Maria’s Cheerleading Co-ordinator.
