French Afternoon at Wesley College
The opportunity for our students to speak French with others as passionate about the language as they are, outside the classroom, is so valuable. Languages afternoons with students from other schools provide opportunities for conversation, games and probably the best part for many of them, a French afternoon tea!
Year 12 student Rebecca Perse said, ” Our last afternoon session with the French students at Wesley College was another great success. We enjoyed a delicious goûter francais (French afternoon tea) consisting of croissants, chocolat chaud and Croque-Monsieur, giving us some much-needed energy for the conversational activities ahead. We practised our speaking skills with different partners each time and strained our ears to win a game of French bingo. Overall, it was a very enjoyable afternoon and we wish the Wesley French students good luck in the upcoming WACE exams.”
