Congratulations to Year 7 student, Grace Freeman, who has been selected to represent Western Australia in the 2018 Cricket 12s team. The team will be competing at the School Sport Australia National Championships in Bunbury in December.

Selection for the team was an ongoing process over a number of weeks, with Grace being assessed alongside other girls. She trained as often as she could at the nets in preparation.

Grace said “I’ve been playing backyard cricket since I was little and have been playing club cricket with Wembley Junior Cricket Club for three years. I love celebrating with my team after a wicket, batting with my partner and playing as a team.
