What a fabulous and fun night was had by boarders from schools across Perth.  Over 300 young boarders attended the event held in McDonald Building, where The Mucky Duck Bush Band performed.

The students (and the staff attending) learnt new dance steps to country music. Everyone joined in to try their hands (I mean feet) at a Grand Promenade, Dosey Doe, Square Dancing and swinging our partners round and round.  Supper was served on The Terrace lawns and included mini hot dogs, sausage rolls, pizza and chocolate brownies.

The boarders really enjoy attending these kinds of events, where they can meet up with friends from home and make new friends who are also living away from home.  The boarders who attended dressed up country style, with denim, boots and flannelette the style for the night.  It really added to the atmosphere to have so many of the boarders participating in the theme. Many thanks to Karen MacDonald and Cathy Smith for their help on the night and to our catering team for the amazing supper.

Leanne McTavish, Head of Boarding
