Together We Can Fly
During Term 4, 2018, Year 8 students discussed the notion of how they are unique and individuals. The looked at how they all bring their own uniqueness, gifts and talents to share with others, to strengthen the wider group.
The body is made up of many parts, but is one whole…
At school, we offer our individual gifts and talents to our Homerooms and classes so that the wider group becomes stronger and benefits.
This year, each of the students, now in Year 9, used watercolour paints to embellish her own (unique) feather. These feathers were collated and shaped into a set of wings. The Year 9 SRC leaders aptly captioned this artwork with the inscription ‘Together we can fly’. This beautiful artwork now hangs on the wall outside the Plaza.
As the Year 9s commence Strive9 in Week 8, this term, they will focus on working together collaboratively to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
