Year 7 Activity Afternoon With Aquinas College
Interaction between students from Aquinas and Santa Maria Colleges is important in the social development of our students. Through mixed College events, our girls are able to meet, socialise and develop friendships with the boys from our brother school.
The Year 7 Activity Afternoon is one of the first opportunities for our girls to interact with the boys from Aquinas. Last Friday our Year 7 girls enjoyed a fun afternoon hosted by Aquinas College with the Year 7 boys.
Students from each Santa Maria House were teamed with students from the Aquinas Houses to play some fun games. Students enjoyed ultimate frisbee, tug of war, bocce, netball, cricket, volleyball and European handball. Year 10 Physical Education Studies students took on the role of referees.
The girls enjoyed afternoon tea and time to socialise before the afternoon concluded at 4.00 pm.
“The afternoon was a little bit hot, but it was enjoyable. We enjoyed cricket, volleyball and ultimate frisbee the best. Playing the games was fun and we met some nice people.” Alissa Bateman & Eliza Caughey
