Old Girls’ Association High Tea

On Friday 5 May, the Old Girls’ Association held their Mother Daughter High Tea at the College. This event is held annually for old girls who currently have daughters at the College. Thirty mothers and their daughters enjoyed an afternoon celebrating the special relationship between mothers and daughters.

Past student and mother of seven, Genevieve Sumich (Class of 1985) spoke to the guests about the trials and tribulations of motherhood and shared her parenting advice. One of her key messages was, ‘love is a doing word’.

In an emotional tribute, the girls were filmed prior to the high tea and were asked the question, ‘What do you love about your mother?’ After the movie, each girl presented her mum with a letter she had written. Amazing food and a fun photo booth added to a great afternoon for the mums and their daughters.
