What has been your journey since leaving Santa Maria College?
I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons)/ Bachelor of Behavioural Science from the University of Notre Dame in 2018 and was admitted as a lawyer in 2020.
What has been a highlight along the way?
I started working at the State Solicitor’s Office in 2017 as a Professional Assistant while completing my final year of study part time. After graduating, I began working as a law graduate and am currently seconded to the Perth Casino Royal Commission as a legal officer
I have been a Soroptimist International member with the Fremantle Club since 2017 and co-founded the Young Soroptimist Club at Notre Dame. Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement advocating for human rights and gender equality.
After completing the Emerging Leaders in Governance Program in 2019, I took up a youth director board position with Volunteering WA and am currently serving my second term.
What is one of your fondest memories of your time at Santa Maria College?
Growing up in a small mining town, community involvement has always been really important to me. Santa Maria really fostered that aspect within me through the many service opportunities provided. Since leaving Santa, a real highlight has been being able to meet so many different people and get involved in a range of projects both locally and internationally that help to make our world a better place.
One of those projects is the Soroptimist International Fremantle Art Auction, which raises money for local community groups, including the Fremantle Street Doctor, Multicultural Futures and the Starlight Hotel Choir. This year the Art Auction will be held online between 16 and 23 July.
