Patience and Perseverance
The Year 10 Visual Art students are having a lesson in patience and perseverance, whilst painting portraits in oils!
With recently acquired skills after working with our Artist in Resident, Wade Taylor, the girls are applying the technique of building up layers of paint. This is very much an exercise in perseverance, as it will take countless hours before the portraits will be complete!
Visual Arts students Sophie and Alice said they are enjoying the new experience of painting in oils and were grateful for the opportunity to work alongside a local practising artist in Wade Taylor.
Here are some of the works in progress.
