Perfect Day For a 3 Kilometer Run

The weather was perfect for the annual Interhouse Cross Country Carnival. The sun was shining and there was a light breeze blowing to assist the runners out on the course.

With the resources of Blue Chip Timing at the carnival again this year, people could follow the results online and there was also live commentary at the finish line as the runners approached. With the addition of a timing point halfway around the course, parents and friends could follow the action even more closely.

There were some fabulous performances and congratulations must go to Cleo Kenny (Year 9, Dillon) who completed the 3km course in the fastest time overall in 10 minutes 52 seconds. Special mention to Mrs Jennifer Oaten who was a first time runner with the Year 12s. By all accounts she thoroughly enjoyed the run but certainly has gained a greater appreciation for the achievements of the girls running the course.

After all races were complete, the College community gathered back at school for the results and presentations:
