Project of Mercy Grant

PROJECT OF MERCY GRANT

Introduction

The Santa Maria College Old Girls’ Association (SMCOGA) is a network of past students. They work in partnership with Santa Maria College to foster the feeling of belonging and pride and encourage alumni to remain active members of the Santa Maria community. The Association aims to generate collegiality and support Santa Maria to provide a broad and fulfilling educational experience for its students.

Details and Conditions

The SMCOGA are delighted to be able to offer the ‘Project of Mercy’ grant of up to $5,000 to enable a Santa Maria College alumni to undertake a planned project, of the applicant’s choosing, with the primary focus of helping others, less fortunate, within the Western Australian community.

The nature of the grant reflects the philanthropic mission of the SMCOGA, in line with the Mercy values and provides an opportunity for the SMCOGA to make a positive impact in the broader community. Any Santa Maria College (Perth, WA) alumni can apply.

The successful applicant will be required to contribute to SMCOGA initiatives, including providing:

  • a written article for the Catherine magazine,

  • access to relevant photographs and
  • delivering a presentation at student and alumni events.

Monthly reporting and budget updates will also be required. This project is to be completed within 12 months from the commencement of the project.

Those wishing to apply for the SMCOGA ‘Project of Mercy’ grant must complete the following written application form and submit an updated curriculum vitae. A selection of applicants will be invited to present their proposals to a committee consisting of SMCOGA and Santa Maria College representatives.
