It is with great privilege that we acknowledged our high achievers from the Class of 2021 this week.Â
Santa Maria was very pleased to be named as a Top Performing School in the state in eight ATAR courses in 2021. These courses were:

Many girls from the Class of 2021 have received awards from the Curriculum Authority and this week, we proudly acknowledged these award recipients.

Certificates of Merit
Forty-five Santa Maria students received Certificates of Merit. These certificates are awarded to students based on the number of A grades they achieved in their Years 11 and 12 ATAR and/or General courses. A Certificate of Merit is the highest state award available for ACCESS students.Â

Subject Certificates of Excellence
To achieve a Subject Certificate of Excellence, students must achieve a WACE exam result in the top 0.5% of the state, which is an outstanding achievement. Congratulations to the following girls on receiving this award.

Evie achieved a highly sought-after Subject Exhibition for ATAR Dance last year, meaning that she was the top student in the state for Dance. This is an amazing accolade for Evie and the College. Evie also received a Subject Certificate of Excellence for Dance and a Certificate of Distinction.

These are awarded to the top 50 students in the state, based on five ATAR exam scores. This is one of the highest awards possible for ATAR students in Western Australia. Considering that 11,423 students completed the WACE exams last year, this is an outstanding achievement!
Highest ATAR
Congratulations to Sirena McDowell, who achieved an exceptional ATAR of 99.7, the highest ATAR achieved by a Santa Maria student in 2021.
We are very proud of the results of the whole cohort, including both ACCESS and ATAR students. Congratulations, girls!

The 2025 OGA Movie at Palace Cinemas watching Bridget Jones Mad About The Boy. Our charity partner for this event is Zonta House Refuge Association a not-for-profit organisation that provides support and accomodatino services to women experiencing family and domestic violence.
