Refer To A College Psychologist

OUR EXPERIENCED TEAM OF PSYCHOLOGISTS ARE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING CONFIDENTIAL AND COMPASSIONATE SUPPORT TO HELP OUR STUDENTS OVERCOME PERSONAL CHALLENGES AND ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS.

For equity to all students, our college psychologists provide brief supportive counselling of between four to six sessions per student. If further or more intensive support is required beyond these sessions, the treating psychologist will, in collaboration with the student, liaise with parents and assist in coordinating additional psychological support (e.g., an external private psychologist).

For students who are already receiving private external support, the College psychologists can provide an important case liaison role, working with the private team to support the student’s care at school.

The content of counselling sessions is kept strictly confidential, except under specific circumstances where the student’s safety is at risk or where the student consents to appropriate information sharing.

Our college psychologists use an online referral system. Students can self-refer, or parents or staff can refer a student (with the student’s consent). The psych team meets twice a week to triage referrals and allocate cases to available clinicians on a needs basis. Once allocated, the team will contact the student (or the student’s teacher if in primary school) to arrange an appointment time.
