Today, Santa Maria College proudly announced the students who will form our 2027 Student Leadership Council, taking on the important responsibility of representing, supporting and leading our student community.
Student leadership at Santa Maria is about much more than holding a title or wearing a badge. It is an opportunity to serve others, contribute to College life and ensure the voices of students are heard. Our student leaders play an important role in strengthening our community, building connections across year groups and helping shape a positive and inclusive culture.

Our House Captains will play an important role in building House spirit and connection, encouraging students to participate, support one another and take pride in their House communities.
The 2027 student leaders will officially step into their roles in Term 4 and will be commissioned later this term, marking the beginning of an exciting leadership journey.
Throughout their time in these roles, they will be encouraged to lead with dignity, courage and compassion. Leadership will involve listening to others, taking responsibility, supporting their peers and having the confidence to contribute their own ideas and perspectives.
Each student will bring something different to her role – her own strengths, experiences, interests and personality. Together, they will continue Santa Maria’s proud tradition of student leadership while helping to shape the College community they want to see.
